| Alt | Switch the focus between the Workarea and the Menu |
| Alt+F4 | Close SpeQ Mathematics |
| Ctrl+2 | Insert a square character ² in the Workarea |
| Ctrl+3 | Insert a cube character ³ in the Workarea |
| Ctrl+A | Select all text in the sheet |
| Ctrl+C | Copy the selected text to the clipboard. When there is no text selected, the last calculated answer will be copied to the clipboard |
| Ctrl+D | Insert a degree character ° in the Workarea |
| Ctrl+E | Copy the last executed expression to the clipboard |
| Ctrl+Enter | When the cursor is not at the start of a line, a return will be inserted. When the cursor is at the start of a line, the expression on the line will be evaluated. See also Enter, which does the opposite of Ctrl+Enter |

| Enter | When the cursor is not at the start of a line, the expression on the line will be evaluated. When the cursor is at the start of a line, a return will be inserted. See also Ctrl+Enter, which does the opposite of Enter. Pressing Enter in the Memorylist or in the Functionstree will insert the selected function or variable in the Workarea. |
| Esc | When the option "Close SpeQ on ESC" is checked, SpeQ will close |
| F1 | Open the usersguide. When there is a keyword selected in the Workarea or in the Memorylist, the usersguide will open on the regarding page |
| F2 | Open the Settings window |
| F3 | Find next occurance of the last searched text |
| F5 | When there is some text in the sheet selected, the selection will be recalculated. If there is nothing selected, the whole sheet will be recalculated |
| F8 | Show or hide the Functionstree |
| F9 | Show or hide the Memorylist |
| Win | Pressing the Windows Application key will open a context menu |
